At Trinity Lutheran School, we take the health and safety of our students very seriously. We also acknowledge that there is no substitute for the benefits of in-person learning. That’s why we are diligent in our efforts to provide a safe, in-person learning environment.
SAFETY MEASURES – We seek to maintain a safe environment through frequent hand washing, and the regular sanitizing of classrooms and surfaces. Families also have the option to choose masks for their children if it is their preference.
SOCIAL DISTANCING – Our sizable, 70,000 square foot campus and 5-acre property provide an abundance of space for students, both inside and outside of the building. We have also lowered the caps on our classroom sizes to ensure plenty of space between student desks in the classrooms.
ABILITY TO ADJUST – As a relatively small school, Trinity is able to pivot and adjust with the changing environment. We monitor the number of cases within our community and are not afraid to return to the online model for a short period time when needed. We provide personalized virtual options for students when families need to quarantine.
FAITH-BASED APPROACH – We are tuned in to the spiritual and emotional well-being of our students, encouraging them to focus on the certainty of God’s promises during this time of uncertainty.
We remain confident that Trinity Lutheran School is uniquely suited to teach and care for the students of Springfield and its surrounding communities.
Celebrating Variety in Learning Styles
At Trinity Lutheran School, we value the uniqueness of each of our students and understand the importance of variety in teaching methods and approach. Our education inclusion strategy celebrates differences in learning styles and promotes a stronger sense of community in the classroom.
Igniting a Life-Long Love Learning
We acknowledge that students are motivated learners when the subject coincides with their natural interests. By supplementing standard curriculum with creative and innovative topics - through our music, outdoor ed, and elective programs - we seek to ignite a life-long love of learning in our students.
Clearing the Obstacles of Learning
We are dedicated to addressing the emotional and spiritual health of our students, through a variety of methods, including implementation of Christian conflict resolution curriculum, faculty training guided by licensed counselors, visits from Lutheran Church Charities K-9 Comfort Dog Ministry, and most importantly, regular classroom prayer time focusing on God's promises for our lives.
