The Board of Christian Day School wishes to extend its sincere thanks to Mr. Klug for his work over the last three years. We are grateful for his leadership at Trinity Lutheran School and pray God’s continued blessings on his work at Lutheran High School.
We are excited to announce that Alicia Klug will be serving as our next Principal at Trinity Lutheran School! After a thorough search, the Board found Alicia to be highly qualified and uniquely gifted to lead Trinity Lutheran School into an exciting future!
Alicia graduated with a BA in Secondary Education – English from Concordia University, Chicago, IL, and completed her post graduate Masters in Elementary Education at Webster University, Webster Groves, MO. Alicia has twenty-two years of experience in Lutheran education at the early childhood, elementary, and secondary levels – ten of which have been in administration. Her experience also includes: Down Syndrome Education Specialist, Down Syndrome Super Star Award, 2014 Missouri Governor’s Council on Disabilities 23rd Annual Inclusion Award, State Leadership Board for Coaches for 4 years, and School Accreditation Visiting Team.
Alicia would like to share this message with the Trinity community, “After a brief pause, I am excited about the opportunity to serve as an elementary school principal once again! During these past three years, God has reminded me that His timing is perfect. He has given me the time that I needed to get to know and love the Trinity community that I will now be blessed to serve in this capacity. I am looking forward to partnering with all of you as we guide our students in their faith, nurture them with love and care, and encourage learning and growth in all areas of their lives.”
We would like to thank everyone that submitted candidates and provided feedback to help us in the process. Please join us in congratulating Alicia and continue to pray for the ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church & School as we move into this new chapter in sharing Christ and meeting needs in our Springfield, IL community.
