ACADEMICS & CURRICULUM

Trinity faculty and staff encourage our students to be lifelong learners as they grow in their understanding of God’s Word and the world around them. Trinity Lutheran School prepares students to be successful in their future education and vocation. Our curriculum is based on education standards of the state of Illinois. Students are challenged to meet high expectations and to develop a strong work ethic. Elements of our Christian faith are also integrated throughout our curriculum. We have activities both in and out of the classroom that develop curiosity, creativity, and clear thinking, which prepare our students for excellence in a changing world.

Trinity Lutheran School uses Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) by Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA). Trinity students consistently score above state and national averages.

Trinity has an Education Inclusion Specialist who partners with the homeroom teachers in differentiating instruction for all students and accommodating the needs of all different types of learners. District 186 provides additional one-on-one and small group academic help in speech/language, math, and reading.
